October 2021

Logging-on’s first edition of October shows the variety of equipment needed for logging activities in forestry. Nokian, one of the most popular tyres in forestry, has introduced their new TR Forest 2 tyres for agricultural tractors used in logging. Kesla has innovatively developed a system that allows for four different control types to be used for one crane, allowing for user and operator preferences for maximum productivity. Sennebogen has developed a carrier with extra long reach (21m – 69 ft) for forestry activities where the machine must park on narrow lanes and roads to clear vegetation close by. The advancement of batteries for chainsaw continues, with ECHO now introducing a completely new range of battery powered tools. Finally, UD Trucks has implemented the new Euro 5 truck standards on the Quester, a truck specifically designed for developing markets.
