March 2022 - Issue 2

In Logging-on’s second issue of March, we preview two new harvester heads that are being released onto the global market. Waratah have released a brand new debarking head – the H225E. Much thought has gone into this new head, and it is sure to enjoy success, especially for eucalypt harvesting. Log Max have also released a new compact head for thinning of small diameter trees. We also examine the new Ponsse Active Manual, which will go some way to improve the way mobile applications are used to improve machine maintenance and operations. Videos are included to make it easier to demonstrate operational and maintenance activities. We then see how Trimble is moving to bring high level accuracy GPS to smartphones and we look at the new methane-powered tractor from New Holland.
