Logging-on’s second issue of February brings a wave of exciting new equipment and products. Tigercat will soon have simulators for their cut-to-length machines due to a partnership announced with CM Labs. CM Labs is well experienced in the fields of simulator development as they produce simulators for major OEM’s around the globe. Waratah has released their new HTH616C harvester head, which is suited to a wide range of carriers, including small carriers with less hydraulic flow. Big news from John Deere is the release of their six-wheel bogie skidder. The 768L-II is designed for the tough operating conditions associated with softer soil and steeper slopes. Then on to Ponsse, and can one believe that the Scorpion has been on the market for 8 years already! Logging-on attended the debut at Elmia and Ponsse has now released a new generation Scorpion harvester range. Finally, John Deere have unveiled their Precision Forestry Technology Initiative, which aims to bring together the latest in productivity improving technology to lower operating costs for logging machine owners.
