The changes affect the area directors and managing directors of global subsidiaries.
The following changes have taken place in Ponsse’s global machine sales network:
- Ponsse Latin America: Marko Mattila is the new managing director of Ponsse Latin America, Ponsse's subsidiary in Brazil. He will start in August 2016. He will be located in Mogi das Cruzes, Brazil. He was previously the area director of North American retailers, Chile and Baltic countries. He started with Ponsse in 2007 as the managing director of Ponsse North America and an area director of North America. The current managing director of Ponsse Latin America, Teemu Raitis, is being transferred to Finland.
- Canada: Eero Lukkarinen has been appointed Ponsse's Canadian area director and will begin in June 2016. He was previously the director responsible for Ponsse's forest company cooperation and pricing. He started working for Ponsse in 2012 as the managing director of Ponsse AB, Ponsse's subsidiary in Sweden. He also previously worked for Ponsse as an export manager and the managing director of Ponsse AB from 1999 to 2003. He will be located in Joensuu.
- Portugal and Spain: Norbert Schalkx is currently the area director of Asia-Pacific and Africa. He is responsible for dealer operations in Australia, Japan and South Africa. He now has the additional responsibility for Portugal and Spain. He has worked for Ponsse as an area director since 2008, and he is located in Tampere.
- Baltic countries and Chile: Jussi Hentunen is an area director and product manager of used machines. He will now also be responsible for Ponsse's markets in the Baltic countries and Chile. He previously worked as an area director of Portugal and Spain and product manager of used machines. In the new position, he will continue as a product manager of used machines and will be based in Vieremä. He started with Ponsse in 2006 in various marketing positions.
The area director organisation of sales will be led by Jarmo Vidgrén, the Group's sales and marketing director, and Tapio Mertanen, the service director. Area directors and managing directors of subsidiaries report to Jarmo Vidgrén. Currently, Ponsse is operating in the harvesting markets of 40 countries.
