John Deere adds SmartGrade™ capabilities to the 650K crawler dozer and expands track configurations on multiple models
The 650K crawler dozer joins the 700K, 750K and 850K models equipped with the technology. The integrated Topcon 3D-MC2 Grade Control System improves job site accuracy and work quality, giving precise grading while eliminating vulnerable external masts and cables. Source
Ponsse highlights good January to September financial results
Net sales were EUR 398.3 (Q1-Q3/2016 349,9) million. The profit before taxes was EUR 40.4 (Q1-Q3/2016 38,5) million. The order books stood at EUR 154.2 (163.2) million. In the third quarter, demand for Ponsse machines was excellent. The markets that were performing particularly well were in Russia, North America, the Nordic countries and Central Europe. Demand has been better than expected towards the end of the year. The expansion of the Vieremä factory is progressing as planned on schedule. Source
Kobelco is to double production capacity at its U.S. manufacturing facility by 2018
Mass production at the Spartanburg, SC facility began in 2016 with conventional machines weighing 20-plus tons. Currently, seven excavator models are being produced at KOBELCO’s US manufacturing facility. By 2018, production capacity will include a total of 11 models. Source
Rottne signs a retailer agreement with the Argentine company Inderfor
For the first time, Rottne will be in the South American continent. Rottne predicts that Argentina will provide a good gateway to the South American market. Inderfor has been active in Argentina for over 20 years, and works in the forestry industry with different brands and products, some of which come from Scandinavia. Inderfor has a large customer base in Northeast Argentina, and also in southern Brazil as well as in northern Uruguay. Source
