Accent Equity becomes a co-owner of Eco Log

The change in the ownership structure is a strategic intervention to accelerate growth.

The current owner and founder of Eco Log, Stig Linderholm, has invited the investment fund Accent Equity 2012 to become a co-owner. The intention is that Accent shall help Eco Log to expand further in Sweden as well as internationally. The company’s net sales in 2016 amounted to approximately SEK 400 million. Eco Log develops, manufactures and markets forestry machines designed for cut-to-length (CTL) harvesting. The company is based in Söderhamn, Sweden. Approximately 60% of Eco Log’s sales are for the export market. The product portfolio today comprises nine models of harvesters and forwarders.

Eco Log was developed by Mr. Stig Linderholm from 2004 following the acquisition of Caterpillar’s product lines of forestry machines. Accent views Eco Log’s product portfolio as being competitive and believe that this, along with the strong management team, will provide a solid platform for further growth. One of the key reasons for the investment was Accents view of the management team’s current and past ability to develop its business and the foundation that is currently in place to allow for rapid expansion both organically and through acquisitions.
