Tigercat celebrate their 25th anniversary
2017 marks Tigercat’s silver anniversary. Tigercat has grown to employee 1,400 people and have over 150 dealership locations worldwide. Hypro’s first machine was premiered at Elmia Wood in 1987. They now celebrate 30 years of innovation and development for effective and low-impact forestry. Source
JCB introduces their new JZ141 limited tail-swing crawler excavator
The excavator uses the 55kW (75 hp) JCB EcoMAX engine. JCB indicates that the reduced swing JZ141 is the only 15-tonne class crawler excavator to meet Tier 4 Final emissions standards without the need for a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) or an exhaust fluid additive. Source
John Deere adds two models to its G-Series motor grader line-up
The 620G/GP and 622G/GP are designed for cities, townships and contractors that prefer lighter and more fuel-efficient graders on the job. John Deere has also added a dual joystick option on all Grade Pro (GP) models, along with ripper-stow automation, courtesy lighting and an updated high-resolution reverse camera monitor, which are new to all G/GP models. Scania introduces a new generation of Euro 6 V8 engines
The engines, which are available at 520, 580 and 650 horsepower, can reduce fuel consumption by 7 to 10 percent for customers with vehicles that have higher combined truck and trailer weights, higher average speeds, or both. The new engine generation is Scania’s response to the growing trend in the transport industry towards heavier, longer trucks, and marks a new highpoint in the company’s engine building. Source
