John Deere Forestry expects up to 5 % increase in global sales for 2015

Construction and forestry sales decreased 13 percent for the quarter and were flat for the first nine months. Sales for the quarter were lower due to lower shipment volumes and unfavourable exchange rates, partially offset by price realization. On a year-to-date basis, higher shipment volumes and price realization were offset by the unfavourable effects of currency translation. In forestry, global sales are expected to be flat to up 5 percent in comparison with last year’s good levels, as gains in the U.S. and Europe are offset by declines elsewhere.
