Tigercat provides more product support in the Great Lakes Region

Keith Gauvreau has joined the Tigercat product support team. He will be based out of Thunder Bay, Ontario and provide support for Ontario and the Great Lakes Region. He has a college degree in heavy equipment mechanics, a welding certification from the American Welding Society and twenty-three years of field support experience. Source

Ponsse shows good first quarter financials

Net sales amounted to EUR 129.9 (115.1) million and the order books stood at EUR 118.6 (156.2) million for the quarter. Regional sales per cents were: Northern Europe 47.0 (39.5), Central and Southern Europe 19.0 (19.3), Russia and Asia 15.8 (10.6), North and South America 17.8 (29.2) and other countries 0.4 (1.4). The Group's euro-denominated operating profit is expected to be at the same level in 2017 as it was in 2016. Source  

Logset launches their new TH85 harvester head for large trees

It weighs 2,000 kg (4,400 lb). It is the 6th head in the TH Series. It can be mounted on Logset’s very large 12H GTE hybrid harvester or an excavator in the 25 to 30 ton range. It is a 4 motor head with 3 steel feeding wheels and a synchronised feed circuit for optimal grip on the tree. The maximum opening of the head is 84 cm (33 in) and it can delimb down to 4 cm (1.6 in). Source    

Fecon adds the FTX128R rubber tracked mulcher to the FTX Tractor Line

The new rubber undercarriage uses a heavy-duty bogie roller system and metal imbedded rubber tracks. The FTX128R has 58 cm (23 in) of ground clearance, powerful steering, good traction, and good flotation for soft wet conditions. Fecon indicates that the FTX128R is ideal for right of way clearing where working on both sides of the road is necessary, or for moving a short distance to the next clearing site.  It has attachment versatility with a quick attach coupler.
