Bracke C16.b biomass head
The redesigned head is stronger, more versatile, has a higher accumulation capacity and an open saw box for easy maintenance. The risk of damage to remaining trees is also reduced. The same hydraulic cylinders are used for the accumulation and grapple arms, which reduce spare parts holding. Felling is with a standard cutting chain on a circular saw blade. MAN’s Concept S truck to use 25% less fuel
The truck looks like it plays a part in a science fiction movie. The aerodynamic look came from wind tunnel testing. MAN indicates that to obtain the full benefits, a rounded trailer must also be used. This will require longer vehicles than currently allowed to still obtain optimal payload. The emission reduction benefits could make it a reality!
