New whole tree drum chipper from Morbark

The 30 / 36 has been redesigned for increased chipper productivity.

Morbark has taken the successful features of the redesigned 40 / 36 features and applied them to the 30 / 36. The improvements are aimed at the medium sized contractor. The new model is easier to feed and manoeuvre in the forest with a truck or skidder. It is also more productive while improving chip quality. It makes use of a staggered knife pattern on the drum, with six knives being used. The 30 / 36 can chip material up to 36 inch (58 cm) in diameter. It has a 31 by 34 inch infeed opening (79 by 86 cm). The drum diameter is 36 inches (91 cm).

The 30 / 36 has an aggressive, sloped live floor and large top (30 in / 76 cm) and bottom (14 in / 36 cm) feed wheels for good grip and feed of branchy trees. The chipper uses super-single tyres and has had its overall width reduced to make it easier to transport. Additional options include a slide-in forestry grate system to reduce oversize chips to improve chip size quality and consistency; and a mechanically driven chip accelerator to fully load trucks with chips. Additional features include an externally adjustable anvil for longer life and easier maintenance, and increased power options for higher production. Source: www.morbark.com
