The six new models are suited to applications ranging from forestry to earthmoving.
The G-Series includes the A25G, A30G, A35G, A35G FS, A40G and A40G FS. They are powered by new turbo-charged six-cylinder Volvo engines that meet Stage IV and Tier 4 Final emission requirements. The Volvo drivetrain and inline dropbox have been purpose designed for the haulers application, and permit good ground clearance. The oil-cooled wet multiple-disc brakes on the A35 and A40 models are now also used on the A25G and A30G models, improving reliability on muddy or dusty work sites. A retardation system controls downhill travelling speeds using the wheel and engine brake.
Automatic traction control and differential locks are standard on all models. The traction control system automatically switches between 6x4 and 6x6 to ensure good traction is obtained while minimising fuel consumption. If necessary, all diffs can be 100% locked for maximum traction. The A35G FS and A40G FS models have full hydraulic suspension on all wheels for higher productivity through faster travel speeds, and permit a more comfortable ride.
Most models have the option of being equipped with an on-board weighing system. The system uses full suspension pressure sensors to measure weight.
