Mobile chipper from Neuson Ecotec able to process different forms of biomass

The CH1266 drum chipper is able to process logs, shrubs, roots and logging debris in one continuous process.

Two different chipping rotors are available for the machine, a stem wood rotor or a bio-rotor. The bio-rotor has solid disposable blades. The chipping unit can easily be adapted to the biomass being chipped using adjustable knife blades which produce the correct quality chips at the right cost. The percentage of fines and oversize material is kept low due to the efficient cutting action.

The chipper has a 90 cm feed roller opening. It is powered by a 480 kW (653 hp) Deutz TCD 16.0 V8 engine and can produce material grades of G30 through to G100 by using the appropriate screen basket and chipping programme. The control system can either be programmed for high productivity or for achieving a desired quality level. Chips are discharged via a conveyor belt (that can slew left or right) or a blower. Claimed productivity for stem wood is up to 350 m3 per hour, and for root wood, forest scrap wood and branch and shrub cuttings up to 250 m3 per hour.
