Innovative products: Flexible containment and spill containment products

AIRE has a range of products to the make the forester and contractor’s life much easier.

Spillage of toxic or hazardous liquids is a problem if in not contained. However, building permanent structures to contain possible spillages are expensive and wastes space. It is even more difficult when we transport fuel into the forest, for example with refuelling vehicles. AIRE has an entire range of products that can meet all of our potential spill scenarios. These range from mobile PVC berms that the fuel container or vehicle can stand or park on. Most are lightweight but tough, and take hardly any storage space. Vehicles can drive onto the berms without damaging them due to an innovative Quick Snap Stay, which returns the wall of the berm to an upright position once the vehicle has driven over it.

In an emergency, a leaky drum can be placed inside a specially designed bag. It can be folded tightly shut, to form an air tight seal. Other products include flexible bladders to store liquids (from fuel to water). They can easily be transported empty and filled at the desired site. Bigger flexible tanks can even be filled at the site of a forest fire and moved as desired.

AIRE also manufactures a range of absorbent products in case a spill does still occur. Rigid berms for fuel storage containers are available.
