Many crane cabins have limited view in vital angles, making it difficult for operators to see where to place timber during loading. This results in lost time which slows the loading process and reduces productivity. Cargotec have slimmed down the lifting device extra space, which has allowed the cabin to be more spacious. Extra large windows have also been used. This allows the crane operator to see with a quick glance where to place the load, and see if traffic is approaching.
Other improvements include easy access to levers and large buttons on the control panel. The seat is comfortable and the controls easy to reach. The cabin is well insulated, has robust handles and door locks, and the front door curtain shield can be put in place using only one hand. The air conditioner has been moved to under the cabin floor to help reduce height. The new cabin will be available for Hiab Loglift and Jonsered cranes.
