Logging-on’s first issue of April brings is brought fresh from ExpoForest 2018, held in Brazil. The fair was a great success, with a large number of exhibitors and even more visitors than expected. The logging machine manufactures went to great efforts to have a strong line-up of their machine and attachment range. Logging-on brings a selection of some of the new products released at ExpoForest 2018, as well as other new products which were also released onto global markets within the last two weeks.
Tigercat have now officially released their new narrow and manoeuvrable 602 cable skidder, which will have an application in selective felling and other forestry types requiring cable skidder use. Ponsse presented their brand-new forwarder crane for plantation type conditions, which improves loading and offloading times. Cat has launched two new tracked carriers for applications such as loading, shovel logging and roadside processing. SP presented two new dedicated one-pass Eucalyptus harvester heads at ExpoForest. Finally, we bring word of the purchase of Oryx Simulation by Komatsu Forest.
